Gary Thorpe, General Manager - Gary has been involved with 4MBS since 1979, and has been in his current role as GM since 1989. Gary is active in all aspects of the running of the station - marketing, fundraising, administration, public relations, programming, announcing, 4MBS Festival of Classics, and lots more.

Maggie Findlay, Administration Manager - Maggie has been with 4MBS since 1999, and began her involvement as Director of our annual Festival of Classics, making it a highly successful major festival in the Brisbane festival season. Maggie's background in music is deeply ingrained, being a former D'Oyly Carte singer, and married to international opera conductor John Matheson.

Howard Ainsworth, Broadcasts Manager - Howard is tireless in his devoted work with 4MBS, which involves training and overseeing the activities of all announcers. Formerly with the ABC, Howard joined the staff of 4MBS Classic FM in 1994. As well as his broadcasting role, Howard also leads the many music tours organised by the radio station, travelling within Australia and overseas. Howard is one of the best known voices on classical radio in Queensland.

Peter McCahon, Sales Manager - Peter has been with 4MBS ClassicFM since 2001. Prior to joining the station he was in senior positions with several of Brisbane's leading commercial radio stations. His wealth of experience in radio advertising enables him to match clients to suitable programs and promotion packages.

Board of Directors
The Board is elected from members of the Music Broadcasting Society of Queensland Ltd, the not-for-profit organisation that operates 4MBS ClassicFM.

Bill Yarrow AO, Chairman - Bill has been the longest-serving Chair of the radio station, bringing his wealth of experience to the organisation, particularly in the area of planning and staff and volunteer relations. Bill likes to be involved with volunteer activities, such as reception duties.

Matthew Farrell - Matthew is a cellist with The Queensland Orchestra and brings a wealth of knowledge about classical music to the Board. Before becoming a Board member, Matthew completed an extensive project on 4MBS Classic FM as part of a Graduate Diploma in Management (Arts) from University of South Australia.

Derek Dixon - Derek is a life subscriber to 4MBS Classic FM, geologist and translator. He loves both classical and jazz and has been a supporter of the station over many years.

Bob Biggs - Bob is a former manager of 4MBS Classic FM and a long-time supporter of the station. Bob lives on the Sunshine Coast and is keen to expand the station's presence in that region.

Deborah Price - An involvement with music organisations for many years, particularly the former Queensland Symphony Orchestra, makes Deborah a valued member of the Board.

Colin Rich, Treasurer - An accountant by profession, Colin brings his extensive knowledge and experience to the role of Treasurer.
|
|
Warren Tegg - A solicitor and business consultant, Warren's involvement with the station arose from his support of the 4MBS Festival of Classics as a local businessman.

Wendy Tyson, Hon. Secretary - A Board member for many years, Wendy fills the Board position as well as being involved on a weekly basis with administration at the station. Wendy has also had extensive experience in University administration.

Dr Kerry Vann - A musician, musicologist and music teacher, Kerry brings the perspective of a practicing musician to the Board's deliberations.
Gordon Dean - Gordon is a retired magistrate and is passionate about classical music, particularly choral music. He is also an announcer and programmer on the station.
