4MBS Classic FM-Australia's most respected "fine music broadcaster" works for you because we maintain credibility, integrity, and a large and loyal listenership.

Our audience is made up predominantly of the "AB" quintile - people who are EMPLOYED, EDUCATED and at the HIGHER END of the SOCIO-ECONOMIC SCALE!

Consider 4MBS Classic FM and . . .

The Large & Loyal Audience Factor

Both statistically and anecdotally, 4MBS ClassicFM can boast a weekly audience of over 90,000 listeners - a figure consistent with official A C Nielsen commercial listening research.

4MBS and ABC ClassicFM are acknowledged to "share" audience – eg. the listener to one station almost automatically has the other as its secondary choice. With ABC Classic FM consistently rating between 85,000-100,000 weekly listeners in south-east Queensland,it is accepted that 4MBS ClassicFM would enjoy the same or near same size audience– perhaps even larger, because of our loyal local audience
.

Another major consideration with Classical music as a format is the audience loyalty factor. Most commercial stations boast "average time spent listening" of between 10-12 hours per week. Classical Music listeners are known to tune in for up to twice as long!

The Age Group Factor

99% of our audience is over 21 years of age with 84% over the age of 36. These are the more mature, settled and discerning people in our society

The Income Factor

Research shows that, by its nature, Classical music attracts an audience with the highest household income of any radio format and the highest disposable incomes.

The Professional (AB) Factor

73% of our audience is in Professional, Business, or influential Government positions.

The Classical Factor

Historically, Classical music listeners watch the least amount of commercial television and listen to limited commercial radio – if at all.

With 4MBS Classic FM your message is targeted to a distinctly "niche" audience who may well not be exposed to your product or services other than through this station.
